Peanut Blossoms

½ cup shortening
½ cup sugar
½ cup brown sugar (packed)
½ cup peanut butter
1 egg
2 T milk
1 tsp vanilla
½ tsp salt
½ tsp soda
1 ¾ cup flour
48 candy kisses

Combine wet ingredients together and then slowly add the dry
ingredients together. Mix on low speed till dough forms. Shape into
balls. Roll in sugar. Place on ungreased sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes
at 375. Top with kisses before cooled.
